New Movies Releases In 2019 You Won’t Want To Miss

Movies like Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Crazy Rich Asians and A Quiet Place were just a few of the best hits in 2018. Get your popcorn and nachos ready for these new upcoming movies in 2019.

1. A Madea Family Funeral: Release Date March 1

Don’t let the title of the movie fool you. If you’re a fan of the Madea series like I am, get excited for another one of Tyler Perry’s hilarious adventures with Madea.

2. Captain Marvel: Release Date March 8

Starring Brie Larson as the female superhero Captain Marvel, this Marvel series introduces the Kree warrior caught in a battle between an alien war.

3. Us: Release Date March 22

This new horror film is by the director of Get Out (2017). A family is visited by unexpected masked killers during their vacation but realize that each killer looks exactly like them when the masks come off.

4. Shazam!: Release Date April 5

Never judge a book by it’s cover. Shazam! is another superhero movie except he’s actually a 14-year-old kid who transforms into the body of a adult male. A kid on the inside, will he be able to figure out how to defeat evil and save the world?

5. The Curse of La Llorona: Release Date April 19

Here’s another one for scary movie fans: the story of a Mexican legend, the weeping woman who is stuck between Heaven and Hell searching and hunting for children to replace her own.

6. Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame: Release Date April 26

You might to buy your tickets in advance for this one-- because we all know that Marvel left us hanging by killing off half the Avengers in the last movie, and everyone’s dying to find out what happens next.

7. The Intruder: Release Date May 3

In this thriller, a young couple finds and buys a beautiful new house only to find out that the previous home owner is a sadistic lunatic who won’t leave the couple alone. One crazy scene from the trailer reminded me of the iconic classic scene from The Shining, you know, the part where the guy smashes a hole in the bathroom door with an axe and sticks his face into it and everyone is screaming. Check it out for yourself.

8. The Hustle: Release Date May 10

Do not miss out on this hilarious summer comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson where they team up as con artists and take revenge on dirty rotten men who did them wrong.

9. Pokemon Detective Pikachu: Release Date May 10

Pokemon fans prepare yourself for the worldwide phenomenon, and guess who plays the voice of the main character Pikachu? That’s right, Deadpool a.k.a Ryan Reynolds. That reason alone is enough for me to go and watch it in theaters.

10. Aladdin: Release Date May 24

This is a classic that viewers of all ages can enjoy. From the original Disney cartoon to Broadway, Aladdin is now making it into film, starring Will Smith as Genie. Try not to sing along in the theater, though.

11. X-Men: Dark Phoenix: Release Date June 7

Jean was no longer Jean in X-men’s latest movie and the focus is now on Jean becoming the “Dark Phoenix”. Will Jean be able to control her powers and become a part of the X-men once again? Or will she stand alone in a deadly war between her friends?

12. Men In Black: International: Release Date June 14

They’re back in shining black suits and cool sunglasses with futuristic weapons. MIB will starr two new members including Chris Hemsworth as Agent H and Tessa Thompson as Agent M.

13. Spider-Man: Far From Home: Release Date July 2

Tom Holland is back once again as Spider-Man, who goes on a school trip to Europe. Nick Fury finds him and hijacks Parker’s summer vacation by assigning him with a job to do.

Another Disney and broadway classic, The Lion King is making its way to a theater near you.

15. The Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw: Release Date August 2

Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson and Shaw, played by Jason Statham team up to try and save the fate of the world. Mixed with comedy and jam-packed with action, this seems like a must-see movie in August.

Once of the most popular horror films in 2017, It, is coming back with a second chapter.

17. Joker: Release Date October 4

Joaquin Phoenix starrs in this solo movie about The Joker. Who was Joker? Was he just born bad? Was he always a freak and psychotic murderer? Find out for yourself.

18. Frozen 2: Release Date November 22

Elsa, Anna and Kristoff who are the main characters of Frozen, a worldwide phenomenon, are back and we don’t know why. I guess we’ll just have to watch the movie to find out.

The highly anticipated grand finale, a must-watch for all the Star Wars fans out there.
